What's new in Pitlog, release by release.

v1.2.4

2026-09-30
  • You no longer get reminders for vehicles you have deleted. The daily reminder scan kept picking up the tasks and warranties of a deleted vehicle, so email, Telegram and push notifications kept arriving for it — and the phone kept its own scheduled notifications too. Deleted vehicles are now skipped everywhere, and any reminder already waiting to be sent for one is cancelled instead of delivered.

v1.2.3

2026-09-24
  • Cars and motorcycles stay cars and motorcycles. A vehicle you added as a car or a motorcycle was quietly turned back into a camper the moment it synced, so applying a maintenance plan only ever offered the camper plan. The type is now kept. Vehicles already affected need their type set once more — open the vehicle, choose the right type and save — because the original value was lost on the phone as well as on the server.
  • Deleting your account now always goes through. If you had ever shared a vehicle with someone, the erasure due after the 30-day grace period failed without warning and your data stayed on our servers. Those deletions now complete.
  • In the admin area, deleting an account is now permanent and works on administrator accounts too, while deactivating is the reversible suspension it was always meant to be — until now the two did exactly the same thing. Accounts waiting to be erased are marked as such, and reactivating one cancels the erasure.

v1.2.2

2026-09-19
  • Applying a maintenance plan in the app now works without an account and without a connection. The matching plan comes preselected — the Apply button used to sit greyed out with nothing to suggest you had to tap the plan first — and the tasks are saved on your device, with a note telling you they are not backed up until you sign in and turn on cloud sync.
  • The template library is no longer a dead end: any template can now become a task on one of your vehicles. You will find “Use as task” on the template page and on every row of the library, plus a “From the library” option when you add a task from a vehicle or from the Tasks tab.
  • Tapping one of the ready-made system templates now shows the whole thing — description, category, priority, interval and vehicle compatibility hints. Until now it only said that system templates cannot be edited, so a fresh install showed no detail at all for any of the 53 templates it ships with.
  • Maintenance tasks created in the app now get a real due date. A task added on the phone never became due — no due status, no reminder — and the missing date also reached the website on the next sync.

v1.2.1

2026-09-15
  • Fixed a bug that silently deleted the photo or receipt attached to a modification about 30 days after you uploaded it. Attachments on modifications now stay for as long as the modification exists. Files of logs and modifications you delete are now cleaned up properly too.
  • Attachments now have generous per-account limits so the free service stays sustainable: up to 250 files and 250 MB in total, 10 MB per attachment and 5 MB per vehicle photo. Replacing a file never counts twice. The mobile app shows how much you use under Settings › Usage.
  • Very high ceilings now also apply to maintenance tasks (200 per vehicle), logged interventions (2,000 per vehicle) and devices receiving push notifications (10 per account). They sit far above normal use and exist only to protect the service from abuse.
  • Uploads are now checked by their actual content, not just the name or type a device reports, and anything that is not an image or a PDF is always downloaded instead of opened in the browser. The file picker only offers the formats your account can upload, and upload errors in the app show a readable message.
  • The privacy policy now describes attachments accurately: files are uploaded through our server, which checks them before storing them. You will be asked once to review and accept the update.

v1.2.0

2026-09-12
  • Pitlog is now free for everyone. Plans and subscriptions are gone: cloud sync, vehicle sharing, email and Telegram reminders, push notifications, attachments and publishing your templates to the library are available to every account. If you were paying, there is nothing to do — everything is simply unlocked.
  • If you want to support the running costs you can leave a voluntary donation from the new "Support" page on the website (it replaces "Billing") or from Settings in the app. A donation is a gift: it unlocks nothing, and that is on purpose.
  • The terms of service and the privacy policy were rewritten for a free service: they now describe donations, state that neither the app nor the website shows advertising, and explain how the service could be changed or discontinued. You will be asked once to review and accept them, on the website and in the app.
  • Due dates are now computed the same way everywhere. A maintenance logged on the 29th, 30th or 31st could show one due date on the website and a different one after the next sync (31 January + 1 month gave 3 March instead of 28 February). All three — website, app and server — now agree.
  • Background sync in the mobile app finally runs: it had been fully built but never scheduled, so your data only synced while the app was open. With sync on and an account signed in it now runs in the background roughly every 15 minutes and survives a restart of the phone. This needs the updated app from the store.

v1.1.16

2026-08-02
  • The mobile app now asks you to review and accept updates to the privacy policy and terms, exactly as the website does. Until now only the website asked, so app users could be running on a version they had never been shown.
  • New "Privacy and data" screen in the mobile app, matching what the website already offered: your consent status, the optional analytics choice, your consent history, a full export of your data, and account deletion with the 30-day grace period spelled out.
  • If your account is scheduled for deletion, signing in from the app now offers to cancel it straight away — previously you had to go back to the website to stop it.
  • The privacy policy and the terms are now served from a single source, so the app and the website always show the same text in your own language. The "last updated" date was also wrong: it appeared in Italian for everyone and pointed at the wrong date for the terms.
  • Fixed a few untranslated buttons in the German and French versions of the mobile app.

v1.1.15

2026-07-27
  • The website no longer shows ads. We removed Google AdSense from every public and Free-plan page, together with the advertising and consent scripts it loaded — the web app now serves no advertising technology at all.
  • Our privacy policy has been updated to describe the ads shown in the mobile app on the Free plan. Google AdMob serves banners and occasional full-screen ads there and uses your device advertising identifier; the policy now explains this, along with how to change your advertising-consent choice at any time from Settings. You will be asked to review and accept the update the next time you sign in.
  • Paid plans stay completely ad-free, on the web and in the app.
  • Fixed a problem where a plan granted manually by an administrator could be silently reset to Free — either when you tapped "Restore purchases" in the mobile app, or when an unrelated subscription expired.

v1.1.14

2026-07-25
  • Fixed the prompt that asks you to accept the updated privacy policy. It could stay hidden for the rest of your session once you had opened the policy page, and it never appeared at all under Settings › Privacy. If you have not accepted the 25 July update yet, you will be asked the next time you open the app.
  • Policy versions in the app and on the server are now checked automatically on every build, so a future policy update cannot go live without its consent request.

v1.1.13

2026-07-25
  • Our privacy policy has been updated: public pages and the Free plan now show ads served by Google AdSense, which sets its own advertising cookies. You will be asked to review and accept the updated policy the next time you sign in. Paid plans stay completely ad-free and load no advertising technology at all.
  • If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a Google-certified consent message now asks for your choice before any personalised advertising runs, and you can change that choice at any time. Declining does not restrict any app feature.
  • Fixed links that could send you to an unreachable address on some pages, which also stopped search engines from indexing the site correctly.

v1.1.12

2026-07-24
  • Reliability improvements: we significantly expanded our automated test coverage across the web app and backend, so upcoming features ship with fewer regressions.
  • Completed a large behind-the-scenes code-quality cleanup for a more stable and maintainable foundation.

v1.1.11

2026-07-20
  • Security update: refreshed several backend and mobile dependencies to pick up the latest security patches and close known vulnerabilities.
  • Hardened the automated build and security-scanning pipeline for safer, more reliable releases.

v1.1.10

2026-07-19
  • You can now change your password from Settings, on both web and mobile. For extra safety, changing it automatically signs out all your other sessions.
  • Accounts created with Google Sign-In can now set a password from Settings, enabling email + password login alongside Google.
  • List rows are now clickable across the web app: click anywhere on a vehicle, plan, task, or template row to open its detail page — no need to hunt for the ⋮ menu or the Open button (which still work as before).

v1.1.9

2026-07-19
  • Added an in-app notification bell (web): unread reminders for upcoming maintenance and warranties now show in a dropdown from the sidebar and mobile header, with click-to-navigate and mark-as-read.
  • Fixed a misleading "Telegram bot not configured" message shown to FREE-tier users; it now correctly explains that Telegram reminders require the Sync plan, with a link to upgrade.

v1.1.8

2026-07-16
  • Fixed applying a maintenance plan from mobile (it previously always failed) and added a dedicated apply-plan screen with a task preview and an option to skip existing tasks.
  • Fixed duplicated system templates in the mobile library; a one-time automatic cleanup removes the leftover copies.
  • Brought mobile up to web parity: tasks and log entries can now be edited and deleted, and the task, vehicle, plan, and template forms expose all fields (categories, priorities, interval types, vehicle type, library linking, per-item interval overrides).
  • Guests now get the built-in maintenance library (templates and plans) out of the box, no account required.
  • Improved web offline mode: plan pages and upcoming-task lists now work locally, plan items can be reordered, and the last untranslated strings were fixed.

v1.1.7

2026-07-15
  • Replaced native Android alert popups on mobile with styled in-app dialogs that match the rest of the app.
  • Unified the "+ Add" menus on the mobile dashboard, tasks, and library screens.
  • Added consistent page headers across screens for easier navigation.
  • Fixed plan switching to credit unused time correctly and made purchased-plan detection more reliable.

v1.1.6

2026-07-10
  • Softened the app's visual design across web and mobile — larger rounded corners, roomier card and row spacing, and a subtle card shadow for a calmer, less "terminal" look.
  • Reserved monospace uppercase styling for real data only (km, dates, plate numbers, status codes); section and column headers now use a plainer, easier-to-read style.
  • Fully rounded status pills, badges, and buttons, with a softer active-tab indicator on mobile.

v1.1.5

2026-07-09
  • Added billing-period switching on mobile: move from monthly to annual without losing paid time — the new period starts when the current one ends.
  • Fixed plan upgrades to replace the previous subscription and credit its remaining days, instead of billing two plans in parallel.
  • Fixed purchase activation so a completed payment always unlocks the plan immediately, with "Restore purchases" as a reliable fallback.
  • Fixed the ad-consent button in mobile settings so it actually opens the consent form.

v1.1.4

2026-07-08
  • Fixed maintenance-log attachments (photos, receipts) to correctly require the Premium plan.

v1.1.3

2026-07-08
  • Added public marketing pages (home, features, pricing, guide, FAQ) so new users can learn about the app before signing up.
  • Fixed legal and support contact emails across the app and store listings to use official manzoni.cloud addresses.

v1.1.2

2026-07-06
  • Added a cross-vehicle mods overview on mobile, so you can see modifications across your whole garage at a glance.
  • Fixed vehicle create/update to correctly accept a maximum payload value.

v1.1.1

2026-07-05
  • Added a dedicated mods management page and form for recording vehicle modifications.

v1.1.0

2026-07-05
  • Introduced vehicle modification tracking, synced across web and mobile.
  • Added device link codes for pairing a second device to your account.
  • Fixed purchased-tier reconciliation so an upgrade reflects immediately while the server catches up.

v1.0.12

2026-06-28
  • Clarified the subscription upgrade flow on both mobile and web.
  • Published the AdSense go-live plan and a static ads.txt for the web app.
