Frequently asked questions
Answers about accounts, data, sync and the reference plan.
Do I need an account to use Pitlog?
No. Pitlog is local-first: you can add vehicles, apply maintenance plans, log services and track mods with no account and no network connection. An account is only needed to enable cloud sync, sharing, or server-sent reminders.
What is the Hymer B654 SL reference plan?
It is a maintenance plan seeded into Pitlog for a Hymer B654 SL on a Fiat Ducato 2.3 Multijet 130 Euro 4 chassis, with AL-KO AMC running gear and a Truma Combi 6 heater — sourced from manufacturer service documentation. It covers chassis, engine, habitation and heating tasks with their real intervals, and you can copy it onto your own vehicle as a starting point even if your camper is a different model.
What happens if I don't log a service by its due date?
Nothing breaks. The next-due date and mileage only recalculate when you actually log the service, so an overdue task simply stays visible as overdue until you record it — reminders keep referring to the original due date in the meantime.
How does cloud sync handle conflicts between devices?
If the same vehicle is edited on two devices before they both sync, Pitlog detects the conflict and lets you review and resolve it explicitly rather than silently overwriting either version.
Is my data sold to advertisers or other companies?
No. Neither the website nor the mobile app serves advertising. Your maintenance data, account details and vehicle history are never sold or shared with advertisers. The privacy policy sets out exactly what the apps do and do not contain on this front.
Can I track more than one vehicle?
Yes, as many as you realistically need. There is a generous ceiling per account to keep the service healthy, but it is not a plan and nothing raises or lowers it.
Is Pitlog really free?
Yes, in full. Cloud sync, vehicle sharing, email and Telegram reminders, push notifications, photo and PDF receipts, public templates — every feature is available to every account. There are no paid plans, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. If you want to support the work you can make a voluntary donation, which unlocks nothing.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can request deletion from Privacy settings. The account is disabled immediately and the data is permanently erased after a 30-day grace period, during which you can cancel the request if you change your mind. You can also export a full copy of your data before or instead of deleting it.
Which languages does Pitlog support?
The app interface, and email/Telegram reminders, are available in Italian, English, German and French.
